Immediately after his death, Christ begins the job of rescuing those in Hell who are to be rescued, starting with John the Baptist and Adam and Eve, now standing on the left, while Christ helps one of the Patriarchs to emerge as well. Jesus holds the banner of salvation and John holds a large wooden cross, the sign of what makes this mission possible. Image size: 126x100mm.
